EMERGENCY SERVICES
In an emergency you should contact the emergency service organisations (Police, Fire Ambulance) in the following ways: > Voice: Dial 111 and your call will be answered by a Telecom operator who will connect your call to the appropriate emergency
service organisation.
> TTY: Dial 0800 16 16 16 and your call will be answered by the Police
who will alert the appropriate Police, Fire or Ambulance response
team.
> Fax: Dial 0800 16 16 10 and your fax message will be received by the Police who will alert the appropriate Police, Fire or Ambulance response team. If you are unable to contact an emergency service organisation through the above telephone numbers you may call NZ Relay as a last resort. NZ Relay will use reasonable endeavours to connect you to the emergency service organisation. |
