On the 18th April the N.Z Relay Service Advisory Group held their inaugural meeting in
Wellington. The group is comprised of members from each of the "user" groups: Deaf, hearing
impaired, deaf-blind and speech impaired with the addition of a parent of a Deaf child.

Chris Blum presented to the group on what services are currently provided and what will be
introduced in the near future.

The members of the Advisory Group are your points of contact should you have any concerns
or frustrations (positive comments are of course always appreciated too). The group will provide
NZ Relay and M.E.D. with feedback to be the mechanism for monitoring and evaluating the
Relay Service with the aim of providing an optimum service to be effective in this role they
need feedback from the “user” of the service.

Role of the Advisory Group:

• Provide Service Feedback
• Provide Technical Feedback
• Offer Suggestions to the Acct. Manager for Possible Outreach Opportunities
• Provide Feedback for Possible Product Enhancements
• Optional - Attend Outreach Events
